A widow returns as a stranger to her homeland. Where will she find the hope to help her sing again? Fleeing famine in her hometown of Bethlehem, Naomi settles with her family in the neighbouring country of Moab. However, when her husband and two sons die, she decides to return home. With her faith in God shaken, she finds herself a stranger in her homeland. Thus begins the struggle to find her place in society, and ultimately to find the hope that will help her sing again. Based on the Biblical book of Ruth, this play deals with the timeless themes of faith, doubt, despair, hope and redemption.

The Evening Celebration (7pm) service will be taking a break over the summer as usual, but the 8am and 10.30am services continue as normal, with the 10.30am services being all age with the theme Designer Living, a series based on Luke chapter 9.
Prayer can at times feel messy, with more questions than answers. Like - what does it mean to pray? Where do we start? What do we say? How do we keep going? Are we doing it right? Does God listen to us? How do we listen to God? When can I manage to pray at all when life is so busy?
All of us feel like that sometimes, and what we hope to do in this series of three evenings is to have time and space to explore different ways of praying, in the company of others also wanting to deepen their prayer life.
